Dear Friends,
Welcome to Spring! Here in the Adirondacks the creeks rush with snowmelt released from the more northern waterways; Canada and Snow geese call from the sky as they wing their way to summer ponds and lakes, courting along the way. Robins sing in the cherry tree, inviting us into each new morning and in the evening, we listen for the woodcock’s “peent” as he too calls for a mate to share the season with.
Flower emerge from dark, brown earth~ crocus and snowdrops teased awake in the warmer days…daffodils and forsythia will soon brighten gardens and lawns. Life returns, abundant and full, calling us into the dance, showering us with rain and flowers. Bloodroot, Wild ginger, goldthread and others begin the season’s dance of local wildflowers, their blossoms like so many small lights calling us into the woodlands.
How blessed, how rich we all are, to be a part of the rebirth this season offers~ opening our senses, bringing hope, possibility and light. As the dance quickens, may you find yourself joining fully in this celebration of Life!
